Blue holes is a series of cyanotypes realised near fences that mark boundaries and private properties. The first piece of the series was realised along the border between Italy and Slovenia.
The cyanotypes, exposed on site, register the impression of the fences, cast onto the paper by the light of the sun. The impressions of the fence show places where holes were formed: where fences were forcibly pried open, broken; where a break in the fence presumably allowed someone to violate a boundary and cross a border.
