My work explores geopolitical and cultural frictions, clashes, ruins, monuments, and symbols of power that have a precise relationship with the present and collective memories. I am interested in contemporary and late 20th-century history, particularly themes dealing with the expansion and crisis of historical ideologies. I often use pre-existing materials such as postcards, stamps, and banknotes, as well as digital material, newspaper articles, and other subjects, which I reprocess to give them new meaning.

Enricomaria De Napoli (Ryts Monet), Bari, 1982, lives and works in Vienna.
He studied at the University IUAV of Venice, where he graduated in the BA Visual Arts in 2007 and in 2011 he specialized in Visual Communication (MA Program).

In 2022 Ryts Monet became a regular member of the Vienna Secession. His work is represented by the Michela Rizzo Gallery in Venice and Barvinskyi Art Gallery in Vienna.
